Biography

Dr. Etiele Morais is a Food Engineering (2012), Master (2015) and PhD (2019) on Food Science and Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande (Brazil). The researcher has experience in microalgae culture, down-streaming, and biomass application on lab, pilot, and industrial scales, as she has been working in the most diverse aspects of microalgae cultivation for 14 years. She has been hired Junior Researcher by the Center of Marine Science at the University of Algarve (Faro, Portugal) and worked from 2019 to 2022 with wastewater treatment by microalgae in the framework of the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) Greentreat project. Since March 2022 she is working as a researcher at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya within the Environmental Engineering and Microbiology Research Group. (GEMMA).
